Comfortable venue but food from carvery leaves a lot to be desired! Turkey was very dry! Stuffing inedible! The food had obviously dried out under heat lamps! Need to improve!! Sorry!
Not very clean in my opinion. Weren't given any sheets when we arrived so asked for some and were given ones stained with something brown.The food in the bar wasn't very nice and quite overpriced when you'd be better off going to the KFC across the road. Positive sides are the rooms were a decent size but just could improve on cleanliness
As being a cleaner myself thought the room could have been cleaner. They maybe could do with hiring more staff as the ones I saw were flat out getting rooms ready. Really lovely staff always there to help if needed. Food was excellent. Would recommend to anyone. I also think maybe my phone and bank was hacked when I stayed there twice.
Staff were very friendly. Food was very poor. Had sharing plate for starter, chicken was hard and breaded mushrooms were watery. For main the carvery was extremely poor. Gravy was watery and tasteless the Yorkshire pudding tasted of oil and grease. Meat from carvery was fatty and tasteless also, then all veg and potatoes were burnt. The potatoes were all solid as a result. Also never received pigs and blankets with order. Wouldn't come back and wouldn't recommend. Definitely the worst Martsons I have been to.
Food here is fantastic and a nice family atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I have Been here on numerous occasions and my only complaint is when there is only 2 of us and the staff remove my friends plate before I have finished my meal. I'm a very slow eater and don't like eating in public never mind eating alone so always stop eating before I'm halfway through my meal. I did however bring it to the managers attention today and she has said she'll have a word with the staff about it. Other than that I would definitely recommend it for a lovely meal out.
